IL GIORNO DEI MORTI

October 12, 2018

Translated, this means "The Day Of The Dead."

It's also called "All Souls' Day."

It's the day that the Italians go to the cemeteries to pray over their lost ones.

It occurs every year on November 2nd.

November 2nd happens to be my birthday.

Since 1995, with a few exceptions, I have celebrated being alive in Rome and intend to do it for a long time.

What brought this to my attention is an article by Fodor'sTravel

It doesn't cover Italy, but it's interesting.

By the way, next year I'm hoping to have a bash in Rome. Like to join me?
