VENICE IS MORE THAN JUST VENICE.

July 18, 2018

A while back,

Fodor’s did an interesting article

listing 19 luxury hotels

where the Royals have stayed.

Well, I’m going to go one better.

I’m rounding it out to 20

with a little-known hotel

on a little-known island.

The island is called Torcello.

And, the hotel is called the Locanda Cipriani.

What? You never heard of them?

A lot of royals have.

Here's a short list:

…Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.

…the Prince and Princess of Wales.

… Winston Churchill often visited with his wife, Lady Clementine.

…British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was a guest.

…In 1948, Ernest Hemingway was one of the first to visit here.

…Maria Callas, Cole Porter and Rod Stewart

were among the musical royals.

… Al Pacino, Billy Crystal, Julia Roberts,

Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman are some of the screen royals.

And on and on the list goes.

Don't you want to add your name?

During their 80 years of service,

over a thousand weddings,

countless receptions

and business dinners have been organized.

Even I arranged a luncheon for a group of 25 people.

So, why not be a Royal for a couple of days?

The Locanda has 5 bedrooms, three singles and two junior suites,

all located on the first floor and each different from the other.

Just let me know and I’ll arrange everything for you.

Remember,

Venice is more than just Venice.
